F-14E Ultra Tomcat
Overview:
The F-14E Ultra Tomcat is an evolution of the F-14D Super Tomcat and is designed to meet both future and current airborne threats. It incorporates many 5th gen fighter technologies such as 3 dimensional thrust vectoring, advanced fly-by-light controls, HMD, and many other technologies from both the F-22A Raptor and F-35A Lightning II programs. It also adds features from the F-14 ST21 and ASF-14 concepts like pallet mounted IRST and Nav/Attack radar, some reduced cross section measures like engine fan radar blockers, and a full glass cockpit.
In addition to those new technologies weight has been reduced through the use of modern composite materials to replace older composite structures and even some metal structures. Larger wing gloves also provide increased internal fuel storage, along with room for the optional canards, which are moved via MR actuators. The canards can help decrease take-off and landing distances, along with increasing agility at the cost of drag and RCS.
The new power plants are P&W F119 low bypass turbofans fitted with 3 dimensional thrust vectoring nozzles, which can vector the exhaust 20° in any direction for enhanced agility. The exhaust nozzles are also low-observable and feature heat absorbing ceramic tiles to reduce IR signature.

Just a quick question. If the Tomcat 21 were to be build to this day, would they still use the standard Radar Intercept Officer just like the F-14s, or would they switch over to the Weapons System Officers just like the F/A-18 Super Hornets and the F-15E Strike Eagles.
