Description

I present my remade MV-27 Pegasus high performance low observable assault transport...

Uses four F135 afterburning turbofans using virtually the same lift system as the X-32, which provides roughly 112,000 lbs of VTOL thrust. MTOW should be in the range of 120,000 lbs, while empty weight will be around 45-50,000 lbs. The aircraft is nearly completely composite using technology Lockheed Martin developed which allows for large, single or two piece composite structures, which cuts down weight and complexity. Payload will be around 25,000 lbs and will carry a full compliment of air to air missiles and a retractable turret mounted 25mm GAU-12 Equalizer gatling gun. Length will be close to 100 ft, while it will have folding wings and tail for more compact storage aboard carriers. Maximum speed with be Mach 2 at altitude, with a supercruise of Mach 1.5. Dunno what the range nor fuel capacity will be yet...

Nice Sketch

I recently saw concept of a Low Observable Transport (hmm i forgot whether it's Lockheed or Boeing's idea) , to replace Hercules .

Overall i think it's a nice concept , but well i'm still wonder is it really necessary to make a "Stealth" Transport aircraft ?

oh BTW i think equations that i posted here
[link]

is likely helpful for you to determine fuel capacity and MTOW .

For calculating range .. hmm the simplest way i see is using the Breguet range equation .

hmm well hope it helps :D

i look forward to see the 3D version .
